Laura Lewis

Living and working in the community since 1990, Laura has been involved in care for all animals with a multitude of services. Her experience covers care of household pets to horses and livestock. Laura is proficient with medical directives in addition to grooming all breeds of dogs and cats. As a Certified Animal Hygienist, Laura has offered confidence to animal owners for her proper care and needs of their beloved animals. In Laura’s free time, on horseback, she enjoys the San Diego trails. She loves traveling the United States to visit family and exploring nature’s spectacular environments. Outdoor fun also includes time spent on the ocean on the boat, heading to Catalina or mooring in San Diego’s bays. As an avid reader, Laura learns more about multi cultures and history.

Allan Lewis

Originally from Chicago, Allan has been a Poway resident since 1993. Working alongside Laura, he manages the property maintenance and improvements as well as addressing the care for the animals. He has tons of knowledge concerning equine care and for the variety of dogs that come to A L Animal Care for boarding and training. His free time is spent offshore, ocean fishing off the boat. Allan loves to share his interest in fishing, especially with a new angler able to experience their first tuna catch!

Sheldon Lewis

Born and raised in San Diego, Sheldon is home grown. Currently in his Junior year at Cal State University, he is studying towards his Criminal Justice Science Degree. Last October, Sheldon earned his Master’s Degree in Tae Kwon Do. He has trained with the USA Tae Kwon Do team competing in México City and South Korea. An avid ocean lover like his dad, he enjoys the boat as well as on his kayak to fish. Raised with horses, Sheldon explores the riding trails with his Quarter Horse “Titan”.

Kayla Moehlenpah

Kayla Moehlenpah has lived in San Diego most of her life, currently residing in Poway. At a young age, her passion for the caring of animals was very clear. Always bonded with the family dog, Kayla always sees herself with a canine companion. Starting with a Labrador rescue as an adult, Kayla considered working in animal care. Kayla graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice along with an Associates in Sociology. She worked a desk job for multiple years for the County of San Diego. Kayla returned to her desire to working with animals. She’s been working at A L Animal Care since 2016. Her pastimes include her dog “Duey” together hiking, swimming, and outdoor excursions to the beach. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out at CrossFit and trying new restaurants.

Chad Macomber

Chad Macomber was born and raised in San Diego. He graduated from Cal State San Marcos in 2008 with a BA in Liberal Studies. Chad has worked with animals for over 10 years and has volunteered his time at the Rancho Coastal Humane society.

Autumn Officer

I grew up in Poway and graduated from High School in 2019. When I was in school, I took part in orchestra and color guard. Along with the love of music, I enjoy being with animals. Once I start college classes, I’ll be studying to become a veterinarian. In my spare time, I read fantasy and murder mystery books and watch educational shows. Also, I enjoy spending time with my best friend.

Danielle Revilla

My name is Dani! I am currently in school for American Sign Language and Animal Health Technology. I hope to work with animal rehabilitation. My favorite activity besides working with animals is dancing. I dance with the Grossmont College Fine Arts Program and participate in their performances.
